The New Carbon Economy Consortium (NCEC), a collaboration of leading universities, national labs, financiers, NGOs, and industry partners advancing a carbon‑conscious future, will convene its 2026 Annual Meeting to accelerate pathways for large‑scale carbon removal deployment and a just transition toward a negative‑emissions economy. This gathering brings current and prospective members together to ensure align on shared priorities, emerging science, and actionable solutions.

We look forward to hearing presentations and panel discussions on Tech, Green, Blue, Finance, Policy and Governance, Early Stages and Corporates in the context of carbon removal solutions and transition pathways toward a negative emissions economy. Peer Review and Publication Opportunities
NCEC 2026 Annual Meeting
The NCEC 2026 Annual Meeting is an international scientific conference dedicated to advancing research on carbon economics, sustainability, optimization, decision intelligence, and strategic energy transformation.
Double-Blind Peer Review
All abstracts and full papers submitted to NCEC 2026 will undergo a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process before acceptance. Each submission will be evaluated independently by at least two expert reviewers appointed by the Scientific Committee. Reviewers will assess the originality, scientific contribution, methodological quality, relevance to the conference themes, and overall academic merit of each submission. Where necessary, authors may be invited to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers' comments.
Acceptance notifications will be issued only after completion of the Double-Blind Peer Review process and consideration of the reviewers' reports by the Scientific Committee. Only papers that successfully complete the peer review process and receive positive reviewer evaluations will be accepted for presentation at NCEC 2026.
Publication Opportunity
As part of the scientific outcomes of the conference, selected peer-reviewed papers presented at NCEC 2026 will be invited for consideration as book chapters in the forthcoming Springer edited volume:
